Kick Up Your Boots With Country Music Sensation Dierks Bentley!

I first met Dierks Bentley in 2005 in Baumholder, Germany. He was entertaining in London and stopped over with his band to perform for the service members and their families stationed at “The Rock,” as we affectionately called it. My husband and I hosted Dierks and his band for dinner in our home the day before the concert–held at the movie theater on post.

I remember thinking, “What the heck are we getting ourselves into?”

Many celebrities have elaborate demands while on tour; only sparking water, certain candles, or movies. Or if you’re Mariah Carey, you’d ask for 20 white kittens and 100 doves. But when I read Dierks’ tour rider (his list of requests), it was so simple, not demanding at all. He and his band liked Mexican food, and if that wasn’t possible, pizza was good, too. I love a good party and I am from San Antonio, so we set up a huge fiesta for them! They were all so polite and appreciative.

It was obvious to us how much Dierks cared about our service members and their families. He went out of his way to come to Germany from London just because he was asked. The majority of the installation was deployed with the First Armored Division. And Dierks was so honored to bring some fun and excitement to our little post in Baumholder.

The concert was amazing and afterwards, Dierks stayed until the last autograph was signed! It always means so much to me when you meet someone who really understands the sacrifices our service members and families make every day.

Since then, we’ve kept in touch with Dierks, and have had the privilege to see him in concert wherever we have been stationed since Germany.

When I told Dierks about the National Military Family Association, and what we do to support military families, he said he wanted to help! And believe me when I tell you, this isn’t something you want to miss out on.

He has donated two tickets AND VIP Meet and Greets passes to any of the shows on his What The Hell tour! You can enter as many times as you want, and each entry is only a $10. Dierks is donating every single penny to NMFA to help our military families! If you donate $100 (or TEN entries into the contest), you’ll be sent a one-of-a-kind Dierks Bentley t-shirt.

NMFA is proud to partner with Dierks Bentley on this awesome fundraiser–we can’t thank him enough for his continued support of our nation’s military families!

ENTER TO WIN!

CONTEST ENDS MAY 30, 2017 AT 11:59AM.

Liz I think my D was the last Autograph that night in Baumholder, Dierks was awesome! As we waited in line, my daughter then 9 started feeling ill, just as we to the front of the line she said I don’t feel so well. I flung the side door open, she got ill and they called next. I warned Dierks don’t get too close, I don’t want you to get sick. He said no worries and gave her a hug! I would guess that we have seen him in concert at least a dozen times since then.
